I've moved around a lot. First I moved because of being in the military and then I moved to IL for college and finally back to the bay area. Just moved back to the Bay Area from the east coast (college just outside of Boston -> summer working in a national park in Michigan -> autumn working at an environmental nonprofit in DC) and a friend told me about this site as a way to meet new people... so, lets see how it goes?

One of the things I love to do is invent amazing vegetarian recipes. I've been cooking since I was thirteen and find joy in imagining an original flavor and finding the ingredients needed to physically taste it.

I am a magician. So far I have done well at learning the magic of making money, creating lots of free time and expressing myself creatively in a wide range of areas. 7) I love to create new things and enjoy being invited to contribute art or an idea to a project in alignment with my values.
8) It can be fun to be growth partners together for an evening to learn from one another's experience and perspective. I have a lot of ideas about how to do this from several books I have published on the art of conscious relationships.
9) Stand-alone sex can be very spiritually intimate as a way of being with another energy, spirit and body before the stories we tell ourselves and one another about "who we think we are" get told. Sometimes not knowing mundane details allows a focus on something more essential about who we are.

I've had incredible relationships with people of different ages, incomes, body types and perspectives on life and find that the magic lies on the inside of a person in kindness, sensitivity, self-awareness, respect and the willingness to connect with a full and available heart.

Heya- I'm awkward.
Not necessarily in a bad way mind you. Just it's a big enough deal I feel it needs to be told immediately.

And I'll admit, a big part of what makes me, me at this point in time is how lost I am... not something I see admitted on this site... ever, so could be a bad idea... But I'm fresh out of college. Had to move back home. Am working 35 hours a week... And that's it. I have a few projects on the horizon... a script supervisor gig, and even producing an instructional chess video... but days have lost their meaning. I plan my life around the shifts my job gives me and not that much else in the way of bench marks really matters. It's strange, somewhat liberating, but very scary.

Gaming makes up a big portion of my fun time activities... anything that can be played with a group of friends is up for grabs, whether that mean Little Big Planet or Rockband on the video game side of things or Apples to Apples and Cranium on the board side...

I'm also getting very into planning trips... now that I have all this time... Europe is fast approaching, so now I'm already looking forward to Disneyland, Boston, and in a little less than a year, Israel... heh.

I am a writer by day and night. I also work at an independent music store, I enjoy getting to know people. I enjoy the classic novels by authors such as Salinger, Nabakov, Mishima, but i also enjoy current essayist such as David Sedaris and Jonathan Ames. I read and write poetry and enjoy both modern day and classic poetry. I eat mostly vegan/vegetarian but I wouldn't classify myself as of either one of those. I am currently taking classes to expand my creativity and give it an outlet that might otherwise not be used because of the excuse "I'm busy" I am currently working on several different creative projects, including film, photography, writing and improvisational theatre.

I'm a native Californian, but I've lived in New Mexico, Pennsylvania, Russia Peace Corps), and all over CA. After moving around a few times, I really know that I'm a Northern California boy and this is where I want to be (although New Mexico is a close second).

I'm an early riser that likes to stay up late. I enjoy the ritual of making morning coffee more than the coffee itself. I like to sip on a glass of whiskey while working on the computer. I've been practicing Aikido for almost ten years now, and I love it. I practice three or four days a week, and go to the occasional seminar when I can.

I'm a librarian at a university in the Bay Area, and I'm really enjoying my job. Yes, it does mean I like to read, but I also really like researching and organizing things (do you need your iTunes library organized? let me at it).

As far as librarians go, I'm more of the techy geeky type. It's all about creating access to the information and weeding out the bad info from the good.

Who am I? Isnâ??t that the whole point of getting to know someone is to find out who that person is. All I really am is a guy who is nice, sweet, honest, and a little cynical. I believe that love is all powerful but can be a bit humbling if you take it for granted. I am a simple man who works a crappy job, enjoys his life, plays golf, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of movie trivia. So if you have a movie question that is bugging you and you need someone to figure out the answer, Iâ??m your man. I spend far too much time reviewing my Netflix and trying to get my moneyâ??s worth out of the monthly subscription (and most months do.) I beat myself up over things I should have done or said but for the most part I keep my comments to myself, and laugh at them (which has caused some awkward stares). I am not perfect, nor do I want to be. I can be lazy and a procrastinator. If given a choice between doing the right thing and the easier thing, Iâ??ll probably do the right thing (even if it causes me pain.) I was raised to be a good guy and a guy who makes peace rather than violence. Iâ??ve never raised a hand in anger to anyone although I cannot say that I never will. I'm just a good guy looking to see if I can connect with someone. I complain bitterly about being alone yet do nothing to change that situation. I am a free spirit it seems, a random, poetic wandering soul, searching eternally for the next great adventure. Life exists as an excuse to enjoy it.

I'm into everything and anything that seems like it might be fun. My deep and involved study of the human race has led me to the conclusion that they are very cute, and kinda neat to have around. Which is fairly good as there seems to be no getting rid of them.

I'm not too serious about politics, but I believe everyone should be allowed to do as they will so long as it isn't hurting anyone. I realize there are a million little spots where this could be negotiable, but the points of contention could use to be moved. I believe the best way to fight oppression and fear is to smile, and dance.

It seems only fair to mention that I am more gender 'other' than anything else. OKCupid doesn't have that button. I'm a pretty calm quiet person most of the time, but I like to break that habit as often as I can, but usually only when it's appropriate. For example, a funeral is one place you should probably be calm and quiet, I don't really like funerals that much though, some people say they like funerals because they want to seem eccentric, but these days it's usually because they've watched Harold and Maude too many times. I like movies, a lot, I work as a projectionist at an independent theater, I like my job a lot, I have a lot of free time to read and write. Besides reading and writing I also like to do art (mostly cartoons), and make music, I'm also interested in getting in to film making.

Lately I've been into PB&J sandwiches and exploring Mt. Tam. I love disappearing for the day on my motorcycle, I find myself in the middle of nowhere and it just feels right.

I'm excited about meeting new people and welcome the idea of being in a relationship with the right person. I like to have fun together and be active, so companionship and inspiration are desirable qualities. Being outdoors is a real draw for me, so that is something I definitely want to share with a partner. Communication and playfulness are also important to me. Hello there. I am a recent college graduate with a degree in Theatre Arts. Theatre is basically my life. I love acting, I love writing plays, I love directing. Applying myself to art is a very important aspect of my life and I get such great enjoyment out of it. On an average day, if I'm not working or rehearsing for a play, I'm probably spending time with friends and maybe going to the movies. I love spending time with other people, but not too much time. Alone time, or simple one on one time is valuable to me.
